Best landlord on the Coast to Coast! Runs the place like clockwork and has a quio for every situation. Fantastic location, with stunning views from the lounge and dining room. Rooms were basic but had what we needed - it helped that we were 2 couples as we shared the bathroom. Excellent dinner and great value for money

Stayed at Keld Lodge in Keld during our coast-to-coast hike, and it was a wonderful experience. Dave, the proprietor along with Matt, was great—he served as both bartender and chef added a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The food was excellent, especially the steak and ale with puff pastry. I would rank this at the very top of my coast of coast hike, in terms of food, beer, and friendliness. The room was super clean, with a fantastic view and an in-room shower, making it a perfect choice for hikers. The accommodations were great, and the location is ideal, situated at the halfway point of the coast-to-coast trail. They provide everything a weary hiker could need, including great facilities to dry wet gear. The hospitality, cleanliness, and comfort at Keld Lodge were top-notch. We enjoyed a wonderful view from our room, which added to the overall relaxing experience. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Aside from the C2C, there are a lot of hiking trails near the lodge, leading to the most beautiful places. We will come again – if only for the food and drink, lol. Perfect for what it is. The rooms are clean with everything you need. The hosts are welcoming and knowledgeable. The food is great and it's certainly value for money.

I am sincerely grateful to the hotel for the best service, delicious food and excellent beer. The location of the hotel will transport everyone to another world. That world and that place where there is silence, peace, nature, animals and birds. The sound of a nearby waterfall can be heard through the window and it is mesmerizing. All I regret is that I didn’t stay longer. There are a lot of hiking trails near the hotel, in the most beautiful places, from the foot of the mountains to their peaks. We will definitely come again Only the best is possible in a place like this and with such an open and friendly staff. Thank you very much

Superb. A walker's paradise with drying room, delicious meals served and a full bar available (we enjoyed the beer and gin). Everything very efficient and well run. Highest standards of customer service. Room was sparkling clean. Loved sitting in the lounge looking out to the dales.

Inn Keeper has a real sense of humor. The staff waited for us to arrive after our hike and even had a dinner reservation since we were hiking through. Dinner portions are HUGE. Lasagna was amazing. Breakfast we delightful. Very charming staff. Living room gave us a spot to relax after breakfast. Excellent view of the hills. Drying room was much needed after hiking in the wind & rain. Easy to locate from the hiking trail, across from red phone booth & Little White Bus stop.

Wow. Best dining experience, best service and nicest room on my coast-to-coast hike. Did not expect that given they are about the only option for humans (sheep notwithstanding) who want a traditional B&B experience in the Keld area. Reasonable prices too. Veggie Lasagna shown (no starter). Almost want to rehike the route to stay here again.

Really lovely place to stay. I ordered a veg lasagne which came with....salad...chips....brocoli/ carrots separate. I could only eat half of it, as the portions are large. Staff really helpful and friendly got me sorted with bus ( v close) the next day, as I had an injury and couldn't walk my intended distance.
